Is there a way to change the default font size used to print the client's coordinates on invoices? The rest of my invoice prints in the font size that I have selected, but the client's name and address is printed in what is clearly a much smaller font size.

Yes: Open Preferences, click the Invoices panel, and click the long button marked "More Options..." in the top section. Halfway down in the new window you'll see an option for Client Contact Info Font Size.

Hi Perry,
I don't have a button called "more options". I have the 5 headings up top (Identity, general, billing, timekeepers and invoices). When I select "invoices", I have three sections: "Invoice Look", "INvoice Content" and the "header/footer" box at the bottom. Under invoice look, I can select the font and template, the font size, the next invoice #, and the file format. There is a button to "edit standard" but there are, of course, no other options available at this time. When I adjust the font style and size in here, it impacts everything except the client's name and address.

What version of TimeNet Law are you running? It doesn't sound like you have the latest release. You can get the newest version from our website at any time: www.timenetlaw.com

I downloaded it about one month ago, so I think it is pretty recent.

You can check the version by selecting About TimeNet Law from the TimeNet Law menu. 2.3 is the most current version. You can download it from our website at www.timenetlaw.com

I am not sure how I would have installed the older version given that I purchased this system just over a month ago. I have now installed the newer version but need to de-install the original. Can you tell me how to do this without compromising anything? Dragging the icon to the trash just removes it from the dock.

Did you check and see what version you have? I'm not really sure I understand the problem exactly -- did you download the new version from our website? If so, just open that copy of TimeNet Law. You can drag all other copies to the trash.

I purchased the system from AppleSource on October 17th and would have downloaded it from there or from whatever link was provided at the time. I checked the version and it is 2.2.9. I asked my husband about this, because he actually knows something about MACs whereas I definitely do not, and he went through the process of downloading the free trial for Timenet Law at work to try to figure out what happened--he had suggested that I look in my Apps folder to identify which versions I had and couldn't understand why they weren't showing up there. After doing this, he realized that there isn't an installer. The program just stays in your "Download" folder until you move it elsewhere. He said that he has never seen anything like this before and doesn't understand why users aren't instructed to move it from their "Download" folder to their "Application" folder so that they can then drag the icon image to their dock. Is there a reason that users aren't instructed to install the program in their Apps?

The program can be run from anywhere on a hard drive, or even a thumb drive. All files downloaded will go to your Downloads folder. From there you can drag it to any location you'd like. This is normal behavior and is how 99% of applications are delivered. Sometimes they come on a disk image, but it is the same principal.
We are testing some methods to automate and/or simplify this process so that with future versions this will not be an issue.
A few applications have just recently started using a method of checking to see where the application is and if it is not in the Applications folder it will offer to move itself for you. Only a handful of the latest applications do this, while the majority of applications will just stay in the Downloads folder. I am not sure why your husband thought this was so strange, but I apologize for any confusion.
We feel that this new behavior is a good thing and will be implemented into the system soon.
At any rate, does the new version have the setting you were looking for?
