I don't want late fees to be automatically added to past invoices. How can I turn this off and get my balances back to what they were before? I'm running the new version and I tried to set the invoice terms to longer and the markup to 0% but it's still marking up past invoices and causing a lot of problems.  Please help.

First, just to be sure, download the latest version of TimeNet Law. There have been a couple of updates recently. You can get that here: http://www.applesource.us/pub/bin/files/timenet_law_1.zip

Next, be sure your Aged Invoice Markup is set to 0. If this is set to 0, no late fees will ever be applied.

A future update will refine the late fee process a little more, showing you which invoices are about to accrue interest and allowing you to check them off before applying.

You can manually remove late fees by opening the Matter, selecting "Edit Late Fees…" from the Matter menu, and setting the "# of Late Fees" to 0 for each invoice that has been marked up.

If you have many matters and invoices, and doing this by hand is not practical, please send an email to support@applesource.biz and I will work on an option to automate the removal of all late fees for you.

If you have any questions, please let me know!

Thanks very much for the response.  I checked and I do have the most recent version.  My markup amount was not at zero - I changed it but the invoices don't reflect the change.

I don't see the "Edit Late Fees" option in the matter menu.  The late fees are only on a few invoices so I can easily fix it myself, but I can't find this option.

That was one of the fixes in the new version, which was a "stealth" update, meaning minor patches were added, but the actual version number didn't change. You can download from the above link: http://www.applesource.us/pub/bin/files/timenet_law_1.zip

The new version will add the Edit Late Fees option.
