It would be swell to have the option of linking a date and time to the various activities. I don't need this for every client or project, so now I am including the date when I type in the description: "Meeting with Joe Blow on 12/27/05."  Sometimes I would like to go back and find out what date I did a certain task (to calculate how long the client has been sitting on it).

If this is already a feature, but I have not found it, I apologize in advance! In general, I love the program and have chatting it up to my friends who are still using paper and pencil to tally time.

yes I need this feature too. I actually find it odd that it's not included.  I would like every project's tasks to have started TIMES and an end TIMES (including date).  This is the system benchtime, another timer software, uses (although that's about the only better thing about that software Smiley).

It's sort of silly to have to create a new project for every update I do for a client, just to see the start and end date.

Thanks.

I understand this feature. I'll figure this out for the next update I think. It's on my to do list. Meanwhile, you can keep the date in the notes field and keep track of of it that way. Thanks for the heads up on this feature idea, I agree it's entirely necessary.

Thanks a lot perry.  Basically it needs to note every time you start and pause the timer on a particular task, I think.  Then it can output the first time and date and last time and date you started and stopped it.

Having fun with the software.

You can also access this information in the backend with the Time Log (command+L in a project window). This is more for your own information though, not on invoices. At any rate, I'll look into a sleek way to make this happen.
