ATTENTION, FORUM MEMBERS AND BUSYBEE USERS ALIKE:

The BusyBee Configuration File Contest is now open! It will run from Nov. 9th (today) to Dec. 9th, so you’ve got a month to come up with something truly brilliant.

OBJECTIVE: Submit the most creative configuration file to THIS THREAD.

RULES:

1)   Be completely original.
2)   Have fun, duh?

We will score the winners with a ratio of 40% member opinion and 60% administration choice. A poll will be opened a week before the end of the contest with the top four files (picked by the admins) and you guys will be able to vote on it.

YOUR INCENTIVE?

If you happen to be the winner, you will receive the following:

1)   Your config file will be included in the next BusyBee release
2)   You’ll be included in the documentation (15 minutes of fame, anyone?)
3)   You will receive a BusyBee t-shirt, custom designed for you by the AppleSource team.

Now get busy!
(though I suppose that’s not really the point…)

There you go!
I hope you like it. I did it with all my love for my boss  Cheesy

Why I did it:
I'm a designer but I dont have much work to do now for the company and it looks like my boss doesn't care. So, I'm NOT going to wake the sleeping dog and bothering my boss giving me more work. Instead I'll use BusyBee!

Enjoy

Here's my contribution. I was fed up with Spam, and thought I'd make this fun little one. So true, isn't it!

(Made a little edit!)

Well hi !
Perry told me I should enter the contest...So why not ? Smiley

My config file pretends to check all the RAM installed.
I configured it up to 4,5 GB (my RAM-Size), which takes about 33 minutes to complete. You can adapt the config to your installed Ram-size, if you don't have 4,5 GB in your computer. So u can customize it to fit your system.

The most important thing of this config is, that it never seems to hang. It's moving constantly and this makes it look very realistic.
The title "Apple DDR SDRAM Diagnosis" makes it even more serious and trustful.

Give it a try !
Wink

"Here a config file for webdesigners, which gives you 10 minutes break from work by extracting a realistic looking "Website.rar".
Again I concentrated on a real looking activity of the process bar by adding countless different files that are "extracting".
Those files are very detailed, and when someone looks at your screen and reads the filenames, he will think that there is really a website in progress."
(copied from my other thread)

Enjoy !

Jeez, Timo. I just checked out your config. file and you obviously spent a TON of time on it.

I'm impressed....

Looks like you're raising the stakes. Wink

*grins* For a BusyBee user, you're actually... busy.

Wink Doesn't that defeat the purpose a little?

Okay guys I made one that actually is kind of fun! It starts off pretending to be editing your Windows Registry. After about 2 minutes it goes crazy and starts showing error messages, garbled text, and then deletes your Windows directory!! Almost makes me feel like I'm back on a PC. Cheesy

Let me know what you think!

Oh and this requires BusyBee 3.5 with Perry's super-spiffy FlyBy Routine feature.

YAY!

Finally a new config from me:

Converting a sample cd with the Logic Pro Audio Suite will take enough time for you to enjoy a 16-minute-break...
