I have my date format for short dates set to "01.15.07". However, TNP seems to ignore that setting when creating new tasks. It defaults to today's date in the format "1/15/07". Tho when I manually set the date using the date picker it puts the date in my desired format.

So, why is this important?

Because it seems that TNP doesn't properly sort dates as dates -- but rather as text. This means that an assortment of dates with leading zeros and without doesn't sort properly.

So, unless I am missing something here, it seems like this is two bugs:
1. Default date display should reflect the format specified in System Prefs
2. Date sorting should reflect proper chronological sort -- not a text sort.

If anyone has any insights I'd appreciate them. Perry?
