I started to make a new config, and I opened a folder with hundrets of files to have authentic audio filenames.
so my screen looks like this:

Now what would be amazing:
I select files from the finder, drag & drop them in BusyB...I mean Business 2.0, and those filenames are automatically added as a subtask.

EVEN better would be, if THOSE filenames would be the FlyBy Routine then.
Because: If I make a config for Audio files (for example converting a sample cd), it doesn't look realistic when there are files like "PICT001.jpg" in it Smiley

So a customization of the "FlyBy content" would be useful as well...
It's always the same and this could be boring after a time, or even could be revealed by the boss after a time Wink

Possible ?

Timo,

You can edit the FlyByText file to change the FlyBy stuff. Just select those files from your Finder, hit Command-C (copy it), go into your FlyByText file in your settings file, and erase all of that, and hit Paste. It'll put the file names into that.

Ta da!

Hmm..
It doesn't want to work. What am I doing wrong ?

- I open the flybytext file, and I can enter my own lines.
- Then I save the file
- but then it's not a textdocument any more - it's an executable then...

Timo,

Make sure the file does not have an extension, and is just a plain text file. Don't add .txt or any other extension to it. Maybe your computer automatically gave it a .txt extension. You wouldn't see it if you have hidden your extensions. In the Finder, go to Preferences, Advanced, and make sure "show file extensions" is checked. Then see what the file is called.

Timo try just making a new file all together and naming it FlyByText? Save it as plain text without the extension maybe?

This is definitely weird. Thanks Erika for helping out. Yeah I'd just try and make a new file all-together. Also, regardless of whether the file LOOKS like an executable, it should still read the same in BusyBee. So just edit it, and try the config file in BusyBee. Disregard what the icon of the FlyByText file looks like, or what the Finder tells you. The Finder doesn't know anything...  :p

That helps Smiley
It just wouldn't do it with overwriting the existing FlyByText file...

Anyway...now I have a next question.

When I do a new flybytext (adapted to the theme of my config), then the people who download my config would need that flybytext as well, right ?
And that would result in a LOT of flybytext-files, if everybody makes (and uploads) his/her own.
So how could it be realised in the software when we have different flybytexts that belong to different configs ?

I'm not the programmer here Cheesy

Timo,

I smell an update. How about if the flyby text was embedded into the config file itself? And you edited the FlyBy text IN the BusyBee application itself?

Sounds like a good idea to me...

Fixed some bugs and made the FlyByText project-specific. Check it out NOW!
